Submission Instructions
Please note that these instructions are specific to Bio-Medical Materials and Engineering.
Author Representations
Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before, and that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities-tacitly or explicitly- at the institute where the work has been carried out. The Organizing Committee will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Permission
An author, when quoting from someone else's work or when considering reproducing figures or table from a book or journal article, should make sure that he is not infringing a copyright. Although in general an author may quote from other published works, he should obtain permission from the holder of the copyright if he wishes to make substantial extracts or to reproduce tables, plates or other figures. If the copyright holder is not the author of the quoted or reproduced material, it is recommended that the permission of the author should also be sought. Material in unpublished letters and manuscripts is also protected and must not be published unless permission has been obtained. Submission of a paper will be interpreted as a statement that the author has obtained all the necessary permission. A suitable acknowledgement of any borrowed material must always be made.

Manuscript Preparation
The following topics are generally submitted, however, authors are not limited to these topics: Biomedical Engineering, Biomaterials, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Biomedical Imaging and Signal Processing, Biomechanical Engineering. For more detailed information please click here.
Papers submitted by the authors must be 4-7 pages in length (including references). Extra pages will incur additional charges. Manuscripts are required to be written in English, and must conform to accepted standards of technically written English. Either US or UK English is acceptable as long as usage is consistent throughout. The editors of the ICBEB2015 Organizing Committee are not responsible for correcting errors in grammar or spelling. Articles requiring extensive English revisions may be rejected without review or referred to a professional copy editing service before acceptance.
Use of an editing service is neither a requirement nor a guarantee of acceptance for publication.
Mapletrans offers a language and copy editing service to all scientists who want to publish their manuscripts in scientific peer-reviewed periodicals and books.
Please contact the editing service directly to make arrangements for editing and payment.

Manuscript Format
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
   ◆Title page
   ◆Body of text (divided by subheadings)
   ◆Acknowledgements
   ◆References

◆Title page
The title page should provide the following information:
   • Title (should be clear, descriptive and not too long)
   • Name(s) of author(s); please indicate who is the corresponding author
   • Full affiliation(s)
   • Present address of author(s), if different from affiliation
   • Complete address of corresponding author, including tel. no., fax no. and e-mail address
   • Abstract; should be clear, descriptive, self-explanatory and no longer than 200 words, it should also be suitable for publication in abstracting services;
   • Keywords; up to five keywords;

◆Body of text
   • The use of first persons (i.e., "I", "we", "their", possessives, etc.) should be avoided, and can preferably be expressed by the passive voice or other ways. This also applies to the Abstract.
   • A research paper should be structured in terms of four parts, each of which may comprise of multiple sections:
        1. Part One is problem description/definition, and a literature review upon the state of the art;
        2. Part Two is methodological formulation and/or theoretical development (fundamentals, principle and/or approach, etc.)
        3. Part Three is prototyping, case study or experiment;
        4. Part Four is critical evaluation against related works, and the conclusion.
   • A survey paper may skip Part Three, but should multiply Part Two and elaborate Parts One and Four.
   • An application paper may lightly touch Part Two but should elaborate Part Three, with Parts One and Four similar to what the research paper would.
   • In any article it is unnecessary to have an arrangement statement at the beginning (or end) of every (sub-) section. Rather, a single overall arrangement statement about the whole paper can be made at the end of the Introduction section.

◆References
Place citations as numbers in square brackets in the text. All publications cited in the text should be presented in a list of references at the end of the manuscript. List the references in the order in which they appear in the text. Only articles published or accepted for publication should be listed in the reference list. References must be listed following the below style:
